What Is in the Box

Every SkiePhone order includes:

  • One Android smartphone pre-loaded with SkieOS (model as selected at checkout)
  • Original OEM charging cable and adapter
  • SkiePhone quick setup card with QR code for caregiver dashboard activation
  • OEM warranty card

The smartphone hardware is manufactured by the respective Original Equipment Manufacturer. Knowphone is the SkieOS software provider, not the hardware manufacturer.

What You Are Paying For

One-time Hardware Purchase

The physical device is a one-time purchase. This is a standard retail sale of a smartphone. Price displayed at checkout includes the cost of the hardware.

Annual SkieOS Subscription

SkieOS parental controls require an active annual subscription. INR 1,999 plus GST per device per year for India. USD 25 plus taxes per device per year for international orders. Subscription details are covered in the Terms of Service.

Return Policy

Unopened Box: 30-Day Return Window

If you have not opened the box, you may return your SkiePhone within 30 days of the delivery date for a full refund of the hardware purchase price.

To be eligible for a return, the device must be:

  • In its original, factory-sealed packaging
  • Unused and unactivated
  • Returned with all original accessories and documentation

Opened Box: No Returns

Once the box has been opened, the device is not eligible for return or refund under any circumstances, including change of mind, dissatisfaction with features, or device performance concerns.

This policy exists because SkiePhone is a pre-configured managed device. Once opened and activated, the device has been provisioned specifically for your child's account.

How to Initiate a Return (Unopened Box Only)

  1. Email contact@knowphone.in with your order number, the reason for return, and a photograph of the sealed, unopened box
  2. We will review your request and respond within 3 business days
  3. If approved, we will provide a return shipping address and instructions
  4. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to a packing error on our part
  5. Once we receive and verify the returned device, the refund will be processed within 7 to 10 business days to the original payment method

Hardware Issues After Opening

For all hardware issues including manufacturing defects, screen problems, battery concerns, and physical faults, you must contact the OEM directly. Knowphone is not the hardware manufacturer and does not handle hardware repairs or replacements.

Your device comes with the OEM's standard manufacturer warranty. To make a hardware warranty claim:

Samsung devices

Visit a Samsung authorised service centre. Find your nearest centre at samsung.com/in/support or call Samsung India support at 1800-40-SAMSUNG.

OnePlus devices (coming soon)

Visit a OnePlus service centre or contact OnePlus India support at oneplus.in/support.

Realme devices (coming soon)

Visit a Realme service centre or contact Realme India support at realme.com/in/support.

SkieOS Software Issues

For any issue with the SkieOS software, caregiver dashboard, parental controls, or device management functionality, contact Knowphone directly at contact@knowphone.in.

This includes:

  • Dashboard not loading or features not working
  • Device not appearing online in the dashboard
  • App controls, location, or focus mode not functioning as expected
  • Requesting the device to be unmanaged (Device Owner removal)
  • OTA update failures

Damaged or Incorrect on Arrival

If your device arrives damaged in transit or you receive an incorrect item:

  1. Photograph the damaged packaging and the device within 24 hours of delivery
  2. Email contact@knowphone.in with your order number, photographs, and a description of the damage
  3. Do not attempt to use or activate a visibly damaged device
  4. We will investigate with our shipping partner and arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate

Subscription Refunds

The SkieOS annual subscription fee is non-refundable once the subscription has been activated, regardless of how much of the subscription period remains.

If you cancel your subscription mid-year, the SkieOS service will remain active until the end of the current billing period and the device will be unmanaged thereafter. No partial refund is issued for the remaining subscription days.
